Fox Robot Research Project
BarkBot
A development blueprint for bringing an expressive AI character into a physical quadruped robot.
What it does
A development blueprint for bringing an expressive AI character into a physical quadruped robot. The plan starts with a fox head that can see, hear, speak and express emotion. Head, ear and tail movements are intended to create recognizable reactions. Simulation, single-leg and quadruped stages target standing, walking and turning. External AI handles high-level understanding while local controllers enforce real-time motion limits. The design requires local stopping or resting behavior when connectivity is lost. These are research goals, not released features. Dimensions, payload, endurance and pricing are not finalized.
